Claudette Cecile (née Maltais) Cardiff

Claudette Cecile (née Maltais) Cardiff passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018. She was in her 66th year.

Claudette was the beloved partner and wife of Allan for 30 years and loving mother of Nadine (Jason) Jordan, Aaron (Amy) Cardiff, Jared Cardiff, Andrea Cardiff and Martin O’Connor.

She was the adoring grandmother of Kayla Maltais, Ally Corcoran, Shauna Corcoran, Everett Jordan, Asher O’Connor and Michael O’Connor and great-grandma of Dominic, Gabrielle and Braylynne.

Claudette was the sister of Norman, Armande, Yolande (Alec), Diane (Gaston), Jean-Guy (Marie), Lisette (Bruno), Henriette (Stan) and sister-in-law of Colleen (Paul) Hamann, Janet Cardiff (George Miller), Catherine (Gord) Fuller, Stewart (Alison) Cardiff, Rob (Allyson) Cardiff. She was the daughter-in-law of Audrey Cardiff and Garnet Smith. 

Claudette was predeceased by parents Daniel and Marie Jean Maltais, father-in-law Jack Cardiff and grandson Casey Corcoran. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends and family will be received at Riverside Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 22 from 

1-5 p.m. for a casual gathering.

In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation Oncology Department would be appreciated.
