Clare Edward Vincent

Mr. Clare Vincent, formerly of Hullett Township, passed away at Huronlea, Brussels on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. He was in his 74th year.

Clare was the beloved husband of the late Wilma (Spears) Vincent, who predeceased him in 2010; loving father of Bruce Vincent and Deb Zehr, Wingham; Ron Vincent, Goderich and Rob and Katharine Vincent, Wingham; the cherished grandfather of Stacey and DJ, Peter and Aaron, Chelsea and Jacob and Jake and the great-grandfather of Ryan, Haylie and Levi.

Clare was the dear brother of Doug Vincent and Donna Walsh, Blyth; Jack and Ann Vincent, Auburn and Mary Lou Vincent, Tobermory. He was the brother-in-law of Ken and Vangie Spears, Wingham; Ruth and Carman Howatt, Clinton; Eileen and Leo Greidanus, Seaforth and Helen Spears and Bill Belrose, St. Thomas. Clare was predeceased by his parents Norman and Annie (Leatherland) Vincent, sister-in-law Darlene Vincent and nephew Mike Vincent.

Clare will be greatly missed by his friends and family at Huronlea  as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private service will take place at the McBurney Funeral Home Chapel, Wingham on Saturday, May 5. A come-and-go to celebrate Clare’s life will follow in the basement of the Wingham Legion Branch 180 from 2 - 5 p.m. Clare’s final resting place is at Hope Chapel Cemetery, Hullett Township.

Memorial donations to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
