Charles "Gordon" Shobbrook

Mr. Charles “Gordon” Shobbrook of Goderich and formerly of Londesborough, passed away peacefully at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich, on Friday, March 26, 2021. He was in his 86th year. 

 

Gordon was the beloved husband of the late Darlene Shobbrook (2016) and the dear companion of Donna Shaw. He was the loving father of Darrell Shobbrook, Stratford and Diana and Mark Sjaarda, Auburn.  Gordon was predeceased by his son Trent (1971). He was the cherished grandfather of Ryan and Abby Sjaarda and the dear brother and brother-in-law of Dennis and Carole Shobbrook, Cambridge; June Knox, Goderich; Ethel Adams, Wingham and Muriel Millson, Woodstock.

 

Gordon was predeceased by his brother Rae Shobbrook and sister Thelma Ellerby, and in-laws Charles Knox, Doris Laidlaw, James Laidlaw, James Pierce, Bernice Pierce, Sid Adams, Ross Millson and Marilyn Bridge. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and by Donna’s family.

 

Friends were received at the Falconer Funeral Homes – Bluewater Chapel, Goderich on Tuesday, March 30. A private funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 31.    

 

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Londesborough United Church would be greatly appreciated.
