Bruce MacDonald

 

Bruce MacDonald of Wingham, passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Friday, June 14, 2019. He was 85.

 

Bruce was the beloved husband of Catherine (née Keating) MacDonald and loving father of Carey and Michelle, Orangeville; Stephen and Susan, Oakville; Brett and Jennifer, Waterloo and Tracy and the late Len Sangster, Wingham. He was the dear grandpa of Jake MacDonald, Bethany and Mike Newell, Tim MacDonald, Phil and Brittany MacDonald, Carly Sangster, Jenna and A.J. Hall, Katie Sangster, Justin, Sarah and Caleb MacDonald and great-grandpa of six grandchildren and one step-grandchild. Bruce was the brother of Mary Helen and Lyle Reidt, Oakville and brother-in-law of Roy Bridge, Toronto; Jim Scott, Goderich and Bob Doyle, London. Bruce will be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Bruce was predeceased by his daughter Marilyn, parents Roy and Eva (née McKay), parents-in-law Norman and Cela Keating, brother Alex MacDonald (Betty) and sisters Elizabeth Laurendeau (Les), Beatrice Groh (Brian), Peggy Bell (Raymond), Donna Scott, Donalda Bridge and Elva Doyle.

 

A casual visitation will take place at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on June 20 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 21 at 1 p.m. A private interment will take place in Wingham Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Wingham and District Hospital Foundation or London Health Sciences Centre Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
