Blyth Brussels Crusaders' hockey returns to Blyth, Brussels arenas

The return to the Blyth and District Community Centre was a successful one for the Blyth Brussels Crusaders, as the league team’s first home game of the season in that building ended with a 6-1 win for the U15 Rep team over the Owen Sound Junior Attack.
Also that day, the U11 Rep team lost to the Walkerton Capitals on the road by a score of 6-3, the U18 Rep team beat the Mitchell Meteors at home at the Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre by a score of 3-1 and the U15 LL team lost to the Kincardine Kinucks in Tiverton by a score of 5-1.
On Sunday, Oct. 27, the U13 LL Crusaders beat the Rams in Mount Forest by a score of 6-2 and the U15 Rep team beat the Goderich Sailors, also on the road, by a score of 6-1. The U9 LL team hosted the Minto Mad Dogs in Blyth and the U21 team played the Mitchell Meteors on the road that day as well, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
Even further back, the U11 LL team lost to the Drayton Defenders White team in Brussels on Oct. 25 by a score of 14-0. That same night, the U21 team lost to the Shallow Lake Lakers by a score of 2-1, also in Brussels.
On Oct. 24, the U18 LL Crusaders were in Hensall to play the Mid-Huron Huskies and lost by a score of 8-1. Two days earlier, on Oct. 22, the U15 Rep team ended its game with the Central Perth Predators in Brussels tied at one.
On Oct. 28, the U13 Rep team played the Mid-Huron Huskies on the road and the U15 LL team played the Mid-Huron Huskies in Blyth. The next night, the U18 LL Crusaders played the Minto Mad Dogs in an exhibition game in Palmerston, followed by an Oct. 30 game between the U11 Rep team and the Mitchell Meteors on the road, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
Tonight, Friday, Nov. 1, the U8 Burgundy team will welcome the Mid-Huron Huskies to Brussels, while the U11 Rep team will host the Shallow Lake Lakers, also in Brussels. The U15 LL team will play the Huron-Bruce Blizzard that night in Lucknow, while the U21 team will also play their Blizzard counterparts, but in Ripley.
The next morning, the U9 MD and U9 LL teams will play the Kincardine Kinucks and Central Perth Predators, respectively, in Brussels, while the U7 Burgundy and White teams will both play Listowel Cyclones teams on the road.
The U6 team will play the Zurich Thunder on the road that day, while the U13 LL Crusaders will play the Mitchell Meteors White team in Brussels. The U21 team will welcome the Saugeen Valley Steelheads to Blyth that night and the U18 LL Crusaders will play the Kincardine Kinucks in Tiverton.
On Sunday, Nov. 3, the U9 LL team will play Central Perth on the road, the U8 Burgundy team will host the Goderich Sailors in Blyth and the U18 Rep team will be in Listowel to play the Cyclones. The next night, the U11 Rep team will play the AEMHA Ice Dogs in Paisley, the U15 LL Crusaders will host the Kincardine Kinucks in Blyth and the U18 LL team will play the Mid-Huron Huskies in Seaforth.
On Nov. 5, the U15 Rep team will play the Huron-Bruce Blizzard in Brussels. The next day, the U11 LL team will also play the Huron-Bruce Blizzard, but on the road in Lucknow.
On Nov. 7, the U18 Rep team will play the Goderich Sailors in an exhibition game on the road. Then, on the weekend of Nov. 8-10, the U21 team will be in Mildmay to take part in the Greg Deitz Memorial Tournament.
