Berva (McCutcheon) Rice

Berva (McCutcheon) Rice of Listowel, passed away suddenly at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015. She was in her 90th year.

Berva was the wife of the late Jack Rice (May 14, 1998) and will be sadly missed by her children Larry Rice, Kincardine and Judy Hahn, Wingham; her grandchildren Shannon and Jeff McGavin, Walton; Jay and Johanne Hahn, Milton and Stacy and Kris DiCarlo, Stoney Creek and her great-grandchildren Jacob, Mackenzie, Teegan, Owen and Emma. Berva was also loved by her siblings Jack and Esther McCutcheon, Brussels; Bob and Jeanette McCutcheon, Kelowna, B.C.; Marg and Bernell Smith, Listowel and Mel and Lois McCutcheon, Brussels; her sister-in-law Betty McCutcheon, Brussels; her lifelong friend Brigid Reilly, Fergus. Berva is leaving behind the love of her life, Sassy.  

Berva was predeceased by her grandson Todd, her son-in-law Bruce, brothers, Casey, George, Lorne, Fred and Bill and sister Anne.

Cremation took place with interment in Brussels Cemetery.

Berva's life was celebrated from Brussels United Church on Thursday, Aug. 27. Rev. Gary Clark officiated.  Remembrances of Berva were given by her granddaughters Shannon and Stacy and her daughter Judy.
