Anthony Henry "Tony" Middegaal
Tony Middegaal of Clinton, passed away peacefully at Huronview Home, Clinton, on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021. He was in his 88th year.
Tony was the beloved husband of Joan Middegaal for 62 years and the loving father of Karen and Steve Grainger, Paul and Wendy Middegaal, Bert Middegaal and Barb Forbes, and Jim and Linda Middegaal. He was the cherished grandfather of Brad and Charlene, Kerri Lyn and Ken, Sara and Tyler, Kyle and Dan, Nicole and Andre, Mckala and Kyle, Alicia and Gabe, Chloe and Travis, Regan, Tyler and Claire, Courtney and Brock, and Brooke and Tyler. He will also be cherished by great-grandchildren, Peyton, Andie, Lexie, Kinsley, Kane, Ryan, Nev, Nora, Nixon, and Wells.
Tony was the dear brother of Chris Dieser (Lou Lane), Helen Van Moorsel (Harry), Hank and Mary Ann Middegaal, Joanne and Cal Garrow, and John and Ann Middegaal. Tony was predeceased by his parents Lambertus and Anna (Smits) Middegaal.
Tony proudly retired from a 35-year career with the County of Huron, Highways Department. Farming was also a passion, which he shared with his family and it continues on with his three sons. In his retirement years, Tony could be found sharpening, repairing, or engineering just about anything in his machine shop.
Friends were received at Falconer Funeral Homes, Clinton, on Thursday, Sept. 9. A family funeral mass was held at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, Goderich on Friday, Sept. 10.
