Alma Loreene (Galbraith) Watson
Alma Loreene (Galbraith) Watson of Brussels, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015 at Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels. Born in Howick Township on Dec. 13, 1918, Alma was in her 97th year.
Alma was the beloved wife of the late Carson Watson (Jan. 9, 2001) and will be sadly missed by her children Ralph and Betty Watson, Brussels; John and Wendy Watson, Kitchener and Mary and Vern Heise, Listowel. Alma was also loved by her seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, the Graber grandchildren and her brother-in-law Moe Burwell of Colorado. She was predeceased by her brothers Howard, Ward and Ken and sisters Nell and Geane.
Cremation took place with interment in Wroxeter Cemetery.
A celebration of Alma’s life was conducted at Brussels United Church on Monday, Oct. 26. Rev. Gary Clark and Pastor Sandra Cable officiated. Remembrances of Alma were given by her granddaughter Janice Heise-Clarkson, her daughter-in-law Wendy Watson and her great-granddaughter Lindsay Watson with scriptures read by grandsons Matthew Watson, Craig Heise and Mike Watson.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Brussels United Church or the Huron-Perth Children’s Aid Society would be appreciated by the family.
