Allan Victor Edgar

Mr. Allan Victor Edgar of Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. He was in his 88th year.

Allan is survived by his wife Viola Adams (Bradshaw), Brussels. He was predeceased by his first wife Margaret Mary (Sanderson) in 1991.

Allan is survived by several members of his family: William (Dorothy) Edgar, Margaret Ann Edgar, Robert (Marilyn) Walsh, Jeannette (John) Van Loo, Gordon (Bethany) Edgar, Matthew (Muriel) Edgar, Katherine (Rick) Hicks, Mary Jane Maas (Edgar), 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by several members of Viola’s family: Nancy (Ken) Gowing, Andy (Marj) Adams, John (Connie) Adams, Dave (Colleen) Adams and Steven (Donna) Adams and their families.

Allan is survived by his brother Stewart (Barb) Edgar, sister Edith Koch and sisters-in-law Verna Edgar (Russel Fear), Mary Campbell and Geraldine Bradshaw and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Margaret (Doig) Edgar and brother Earl and his in-laws Bill, Gordon, Cecil and Laura Sanderson, Hazel and Howard Ryan, Ruby and George Burgers, Harvey and Betty Bradshaw, Gordon Bradshaw and Hugh Campbell.

Visitation was held at the Listowel Community Family Funeral Home prior to the funeral service on Monday, April 3. Rev. Jeff Hawkins officiated. Spring interment will be at Gorrie Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Listowel Legion Branch 259 would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
