Alice Victoria Searle (nee Huether)

Alice Victoria Searle (née Huether) of Goderich, and formerly of Walton, passed away peacefully at Huronview Home in Clinton on Sunday, June 13, 2021. She was in her 98th year. 

 

Alice was the beloved wife for 78 years of the late Allan Searle (2014) and the loving mother of Helen Duncan, Russell, Manitoba; Gail Searle, Brampton and Mary and Earl Pennington, Goderich. She was the cherished grandmother of Jason Pennington, Jessica (Zach) Fielder, Deanna Searle and great-grandmother of Cade, Tucker, Mason and Madison. 

 

Alice is also survived and missed by her sister-in-law Ruth McArter and her nieces and nephews. 

 

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Celia Huether, son-in-law Jim Duncan, grandson Cory Duncan, sister Mary and her husband Gordon Saunders, brothers Harold, Ray and his wife Margery, Ron Huether and brother-in-law Gerald McArter. 

 

A private family funeral service was held at Falconer Funeral Homes - Bluewater Chapel, Goderich on Wednesday, June 16. Interment was at Brussels Cemetery. Although the service was private, a video of it will remain on the website for viewing after the service. 

 

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital Foundation or the Huronview Resident’s Council would be greatly appreciated.
